Salary: £26,400 – £32,400 per year
An Ofsted rated Good Independent School specialising in challenging behaviour, is looking to recruit a passionate Tutor of Maths & English on a permanent full-time basis, starting in January.
The company are multi-sited, with centres across the UK which are registered with the Department of Education as an Independent School. They offer an alternative curriculum to meet the needs of each student on an individual basis.
They are seeking an inspiring and committed individual who is looking for a new and rewarding role in their teaching career. You will have experience in teaching maths and English up to Level 2/GCSE, excellent behaviour management and will have a strong desire to want to make a difference to the lives of the young learners with special educational needs.
Suitable candidates will be involved in teaching KS3 and 4 students presenting challenging behaviour or who are not suited to mainstream education. Young people often arrive disengaged, with a lack of motivation for learning. Your role will involve working with a committed team of teachers who provide functional skills and vocational teaching, whilst encouraging learners to develop as people.
The successful candidate will be a confident and resilient individual with excellent communication skills and a great sense of humour. You will be passionate about teaching and really want to build a strong rapport with challenging leaners.
The role is based in Thrapston, Northamptonshire and suitable candidates can start immediately.
To be considered, suitable candidates will need the following:
– A teaching qualification
– Experience delivering English and Maths Functional Skills/GCSE to level 2
– Experience working with difficult learners with behavioural issues (e.g. PRU, Alternative Provision, SEN)
– Strong behavioural management skills
Salary: £26,400 – £32,400
Holidays: 35 days holiday, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure days (Total 46)
