Care Home Nurse – Elderly

Salary: £20.4 – £21.6 per hour

My Client is a nursing and residential home in North Wales, and have built up a very good reputation for dealing with elderly patients suffering with dementia over the past 25 years of service. Their staff turnover is very low with some of their nurses having been there since the start. They have only over 22 beds available as they are keen to make sure the standard of care doesn’t dip and they are always providing the best service. The patient is always paramount with them

They are recruiting for a full time nurse, you will be:-

* Based at their nursing home in North Wales – Colwyn bay area

* Working 8am till 8pm 3 days per week with that sometimes falling on the weekend

* Dealing with 22 beds on your shift along with another nurse

* Caring for elderly residents with dementia

* Assessing patients, helping with catheters, doing medical and drug rounds, wound dressing, bed sores prevention and giving subcutaneous fluids to rehydrate the residents

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

* You need to be a Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) at least to level 1

* Have a valid NMC Pin

* Ideally have at least 6 months experience in a care home setting would be ideal but they would look at someone who is freshly qualified

* Living within travelling distance to the home in North Wales (Colwyn Bay)

* Having experience with the elderly and / or dementia would be needed

* As a nurse you need to be able to pass a CRB security check
