Rdc Parcel Sorter

Lyreco is of the world’s leading providers of Workplace Solutions, providing a ‘one stop shop’ solution for businesses across all sectors. We have an opportunity for an RDC Parcel Sorter to join our team in Leicester. The successful candidate will receive a Salary: £26,000per year.

As a RDC Parcel Sorter with Lyreco, your role will be to unload RDC’s trunks, break down pallets into the correct bays and assist with the loading of vehicles. There may be a requirement to make night time deliveries as and when required.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities of an RDC Parcel Sorter:

– Assist with the loading and unloading of the trunkers.

– Assist in the loading of vehicles.

– Check furniture orders on a nightly basis where applicable.

– Ensure all parcels are located in the correct grids and that all sequence numbers are grouped where applicable.

– Be responsible for a clean and tidy warehouse and yard.

– Observe Company Policies, Procedures and Standards and to promote quality and the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment at all times.

– Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested by a Supervisor/Manager.

– Undertake night time deliveries as and when required.

– Act as key holder for the site. To ensure site security at all times and comply with health and safety guidelines, reporting any incidents or accidents to the RDC Manager as appropriate.

– Within the RDC the job holder will be required to work closely with the RDC Deputy Supervisor, RDC Supervisor / Manager.

To become our RDC Parcel Sorter you must have the following experience and skills:

– Demonstrate the Lyreco values at all times.

– Ability to sort delivery notes where applicable into route order.

– Ability to work quickly, accurately and to meet deadlines.

– Maintain Health & Safety and security in the workplace while on site.

– Ensure good housekeeping at all times.

– Ability to use MHE safely.

– Good working knowledge of local geographical area where applicable.

– Possession of a current driving licence.

– Possession of a current FLT licence preferred or willing to train.

– Required to work in all weathers.

– Must be willing to lift boxes in the region of 25kg in weight.

– Will be required to act as keyholder and perform depot opening procedures.

– Occasional overnight stays for training and inductions.

– Shift work (nights).
