Field Service Engineer – Diesel Generators

Due to strong growth within the standby and hire, Power Generation sector I have several permanent opportunities for experienced Diesel Generator Maintenance Engineers to join established teams working in either a regional or UK wide capacity as a Field Service Engineer.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance with heavy diesel engines or generators. Favourable candidates will have more than two year’s prior experience in a field service role carrying out reactive and planned maintenance on large Diesel Generators and associated control systems such as FG Wilson, Cummins, Perkins, SDMO, Jenbacher etc.

You must be able to work autonomously out in the field with little or no supervision. Experience dealing with customers and the public, face to face on a daily basis is important in order to maintain strong client relationships and uphold the reputation of the business at all times.

The work is varied and will consist of planned maintenance and servicing, reactive maintenance, breakdown service cover and major engine overhauls and rebuilds. A competitive salary is offered for this position along with the chance to join a reputable and established business. My client operates an on call rota and there is plenty of overtime available if you wish to work extra hours.
