This one of those truly hard to come by design engineering assignments. It is rare in the current job market to find an opportunity where you can take a project from concept to completion.

Our client design, develop and manufacture bespoke, highly technical electromechanical equipment, and are a world leader in their field. They have just won a huge order which will enable them to grow significantly, so there will be genuine opportunity to progress in the long-term.

It is important that you have previous experience of taking a technical engineering product from concept through to completion, doing the detailed design.

To give you a feel for the type of experience needed:

Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
Good experience working in detailed design and understanding of development process.
Good knowledge of engineering standards, verification testing, FMEA, formulation of block diagrams and functional analysis etc. Someone who is very meticulous.
Experience working with bespoke machinery/automation/equipment/highly engineered products.
Experience working with SolidWorks.
Proven ability to take a product from scratch through to market.
