Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £39,600 – £42,000 per year

Our client design, manufacture and supply fluid power components and provide complete solutions for their customers.

General Description of job:

This job role would involve taking full responsibility of the design through to detailed engineering drawings and BOM.

Duties and responsibilities: –

* Design of Pneumatic Components

* Creating detailed and accurate machining drawings

* Maintaining accurate BOM

* Creating detailed 3D models

* Maintaining accurate design files

* Visit customers when required.

* Work closely with team members

* Ensure quality of product from design through to manufacture

Skills Required: –

* Structured and organised approach

* Positive and enthusiastic attitude

* Team Player

* Be able to use own initiative

* Basic computer literacy

* Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

* Basic understanding of Pneumatic or Hydraulic Products

* Hands-on practical engineering skills

* Cad design experience ideally SolidWorks/3D and Auto-Cad

* Accurate measurement/testing skills

* Ability to plan and organise workload and meet deadlines

Qualifications and requirements: –

* HNC in mechanical engineering

* Full UK driving license

* Background and knowledge of engineering

* Preferably from a design background in special purpose machine design

* Apprentice trained

Full time permanent role working Monday to Friday

Salary will be negotiable dependent on experience
