Composite Laminator – Fareham

We are working with a Composite Component Manufacturing firm who are based in the Fareham area who have a number of requirements for Composite Laminator ‘s to join their manufacturing team on a permanent basis.

The Role
Reporting into the Production Manager the Composite Laminator will take part in the manufacture and assembly of composite structures and components, in line with company procedures and processes. The Composite Laminator will produce mould tools, composite parts, dressing, bonding and fitting of sub-assemblies and fixings. The Composite Laminator will work to deadlines, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to the right quality in a safe and diligent manner.

Skills
Experience in wet lay up, wet lay up and vacuum bagging techniques, pre-preg experience and application of honeycomb and foam cores, experienced in bonding of structures and components, composite/metallic assembly, application of gel coats and able to read 2D drawings. Proficient in mathematics and English language, understanding of dimensional tolerances, capable of basic in process measurement, experienced in tooling and mould preparation, able to repair composite parts, use of hand tools and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
