Salary: £26,000 per year
We’re currently looking for a Meter Reader, for our client, to work in the Leicester area(LE6 & LE7). This is a field services role, working 44.5 hours per year within the hours of 6am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. The rate of pay is £26,000per year. This is a contract role, running from April to 31st August and 1st October to 28th February. There will also be a further 2 days during each of the months of September.
The Meter Reader will obtain an accurate meter reading, and to ensure the customer is correctly charged. Ideally you’ll live within Wolverhampton, and have safe off road parking for a company van. Please bear in mind we’re only able to consider candidates who hold a full clean UK driving license.
Main Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the meter reading routes assigned by the Field Services Manager
Make sure the electronic download of meters to be read are received on a held device on a daily basis
Upload the results of the meters via their home modem at the end of the day
Advise customers of any problems associated with obtaining an accurate reading
Comply with all Field Services Safe Systems of work procedures at all times
Maintain and ensure any company property, vehicles, tools and equipment is fit for purpose, or immediately report or replace faulty itemsThe successful candidate will:
Be self-motivated and aim to achieve all the company targets assigned to the role
Present and conduct themselves in a smart, courteous, respectful and professional manager at all times.
Have knowledge of the company charging policy
Preferably have operational or field working experience
Communication skills; ability to work with the customer to overcome any problems
Live within LE15, LE16, LE7, LE17 postcode or surrounding areas. There will be vetting requirements such as Basic Disclosure, License Mandate, Drug and Alcohol testing and a Medical questionnaire to be completed.
