Senior / Project Qs (Rail)

Project/Senior Rail QS (Consultancy Client) – York – Immediate

My client are a worldwide Engineering Consultancy with offices in over 40 countries around the world. Due to another increase in workload, they are looking to take on an experienced Senior or Project QS in their York office to help work on and deliver major rail contracts in the region.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years rail experience with Main contractor or Consultancies.
Ideally previous held PTS (Person track safety) card,
Experience of track, OLE, Signalling, a minimum, ideally also E&P, Telecomms, Civil engineering, and rail structures.
Some experience of engineering/design management teams.
Must be able to understand and able/competent estimate from engineering drawings.
Flexibility to work as an individual, as well as part of a design team and deliver to tight deadlines.
Capable of interfacing with multi-disciplined engineers of a range of levels.
Capability to check previous estimates and designs to summarise high level gap analysis.
Confidence and competence to perform Client facing presentations.
Perform adhoc analysis to engineering requests including, but not limited to Track, OLE and signalling.
