Warehouse Manager (Nights) – Food

Warehouse Manager (Night shift) – £30K – £40K – Worthing

Warehouse Manager required for leading Food Distributor based in Worthing.

Warehouse Manager MUST have worked in Warehouse Management in the Food Distribution industry.

Please note this is a permanent night shift so only apply if you wish to work nights.

The Package:

£30K – £40K dependent on experience

25 days holiday + bank holidays

Hours – Day shift and Night shift available – hours to be confirmed

Healthcare Plan

Pension – 6% contribution

The Role:

Management of a team of 8 – 12 staff

Management of voice picking function.

Ensure adequate human resources to cover each day’s operation

Obtain intake figures for the day and assist sales team with stock figures from previous day

Check daily intake sheet from sales to plan incoming goods and space allocation

Stock Responsibilities

Ensure Q.C. is informed of all received goods in order to check quality and quantity.

All pallets to be broken down on arrival to assist Q.C’s to check properly

Check with sales office for early picking orders

Conduct regular checks on pickers to ensure correct stocks and quantities are picked

Assembled pallets should be taken to loading bays and placed in appropriate delivery route lanes

Once order picking is complete stock must be sorted into product group and levelled off and fridges tidied up.

Ensure Q.C.’s complete all relevant paperwork and that all produce is labelled correct

Conduct regular liaison with Sales team and Transport Department to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements:

Warehouse Management in Food Distribution environment

Food safety qualifications

Experience with voice picking preferred
