Trainee IT Auditor – Cross-Train to IT Audit (Cisa)

The Role:
Our client is a global manufacturing and distribution company who are looking to recruit a Trainee IT Auditor. You will be joining our client’s internal IT audit section and will undertake a range of high profile audit assignments, with a view to ensuring risks are understood and systems adequately controlled. You will have the opportunity to travel internationally to regions including EMEA, South America, USA and Asia (up to 50% of the time).

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertaking the planning of IT audits including fact finding and determining the scope of the work.
• Carrying out assessment of the risks involved in the area under review and their significance to the company.
• Identifying and testing the controls that are designed to mitigate business risks.
• Completing work within agreed job budgets.
• Preparing draft and final audit reports.
• Presenting the results to management.
• Undertaking ad-hoc assignments and special investigations where necessary.
• Helping management to solve operational problems.
• Monitoring, reviewing and developing systems in relation to business processes.

Experience Required:
Confident, outgoing attitude with excellent communication skills. It is essential that the successful Candidate is qualified to degree level or equivalent and has specialist IT training. You must also have the desire to change career from an IT Infrastructure / Developer background to become an IT Auditor – full audit training and CISA qualifications will be provided by the Client.

System programming skills (coding) along with business analysis exposure would be advantageous. You must possess the ability to understand “end user/business” requirements and translate these into technical solutions. These skills are essential in order to conduct both detailed system audits and financial/operations audits.
