£38-40K per annum + 8% bonus

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Field Service Engineer within a global specialist in energy management within their growing team of Engineers.

With the opportunity to work across a multitude of projects, you will have exposure to a variety of challenging situations day to day. The role is field based, and you will have team leading responsibilities, heading up a team of up to 7 engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring that Engineers who are attending appointments and you will also be required to: fix breakdowns, provide maintenance and commissioning activities.

Duties will include:

– Mentoring and developing Field Service Engineers to ensure that the team is operating effectively, efficiently and safely.
– Promoting Health and Safety.
– Offering technical support and suitable escalation paths to and work with the team to resolve product related issues.
– Make recommendations for team`s training requirements.
– Monitor KPI`s and performance of team.
– Monitor and sign off timesheets, holiday requests and expenses.
– Partake in on call rota (24/7/365)
– Carrying out break fix, preventative maintenance and commissioning of UPS and associated power products.
– Working overtime to complete projects in order to meet deadlines and cater for business needs.
– Be co-operative and understanding within a multi-disciplined team.
– Maintain a high level of effective communication to customers, colleagues and team members; providing excellent customer service and addressing issues.
– Assist colleagues with key information in relation to projects, customer needs and additional requirements.
– Be proactive in your approach to your role, with continuous development to assist with your requirements.

You will ideally have:

– Preferably HNC/Degree qualification or relevant technical experience
– Supervisory experience
– Basic understanding of electrical site installation and test techniques
– Technical knowledge of Switchgear, as well as: HV systems / LV systems or BMS / monitoring, cooling in data centres, process or industrial applications.
– Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
– PC Literate – Microsoft and Digital platforms.

This role will cover the South of the country, and you will be required to undertake overtime when the business requires additional resource. Your role will be split 60:40 hands on to management responsibility.
