Electronics Engineer

Job Purpose of Electronics Engineer: Support the design and development of Initiation and Ordnance products /
solutions to company and customer specific applications.

Duties and Responsibilities of Electronics Engineer:
• Support the Projects Design Engineers to produce solutions that meet customer and internal requirements, are economic and readily producible and that conform to safety and other legal requirements.
• Design analogue / HV electronic circuits and associated PCB layouts including the sourcing of components and equipment.
• Provide detailed technical documentation relating to product functionality and design for both internal and customer reference.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding specialist I&O products.
• Ability to build prototypes using workshop tools.
• Keep knowledge abreast of latest developments in technology and processes applicable to the specialist design activities.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Projects Manager.

Core Competences of Electronics Engineer:
• Will be qualified to degree level or equivalent.
• Experience in the design of analogue and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with high voltage design an advantage.
• Knowledge of pcb design.
• Good communication skills. Must be able to interface with a variety of different staff members from many different departments.
• Design experience in light electrical industry, preferably in aerospace/defence fields.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment providing accurate and timely output to a high standard.
• Ability to apply past experience to developing products within our industry
