Our client is a quality upholstered furniture designer and manufacturer, approximately 1% of the UK’s population will sit down every night on a sofa produced by our client. They are now looking for a Senior Furniture Designer to join their team.

As a Senior Furniture Designer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional furniture design solutions for some of our client’s high-profile customers. You will be working on complex projects and must have experience of making necessary alterations to designs.

Using a variety of design packages, you’ll translate customer briefs into creative designs that fully meet requirements. Additionally, you’ll develop strong relationships with your customers in order to maximise the growth and profitability of the business.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Proven experience gained in a furniture design role, ideally in the soft furnishing industry

– Strong experience of using SolidWorks, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
– A proven track record of translating briefs into appropriate designs
– A good level of IT literacy with strong knowledge of all MS Office packages
– A degree, ideally in a design or technical discipline

Creative and organised, as a Furniture Designer, you must have an eye for design, plenty of commercial awareness and fantastic internal and external communication skills. You must also have a passion for keeping up to date with current soft furnishing market trends.

Experience of using any alternative 3D CAD software packages would be beneficial to your application.
