Designer

Salary: £18.6 – £19.8 per hour

Fit Out UK are a leading interior fit out contractor and relocation services provider working in the Retail, Leisure, Commercial & Residential Sectors.

We are looking for a Designer to join the team to help ensure these projects are managed with the highest degree of productiveness.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves designing, drawing, and producing manufacturing drawings for joinery and metal items of furniture.

As part of this role you will also be required to explode and draw individual components that make up a piece of furniture.

Sketching and Photoshop work will form part of the duties as well as the production of visual packs using InDesign.

Key Skills and Requirements

As a Designer, you will have sound understanding of how things are put together, what materials to use and fixings required, with an ability to draw in 3D as well as create flat patterns where required.

Inventor or Solid works as well as 3D design experience is a must, you will ideally also be able to use photoshop and have strong Microsoft office skills.

Previous experience and qualifications in furniture design is required although a background in product design could be considered, having construction environment experience would be advantageous.

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to work accurately on an independent basis always giving attention to detail.

You will understand when expertise may be required for a project i.e. from a structural engineer and are confident to seek it.
