Hair Beauty Tutor

Are you an Experienced tutor who can plan, prepare and teach the study programme including delivering the hair and beauty as a vocational area? As a qualified Tutor within the hair and beauty sector you have the ability to embed functional skills and engage with a wide range of learners, especially those aged 16-19 years
If this is you then you could be the experienced learner responsive tutor we are looking for.

The main purpose of the role is to plan, prepare and teach study programme including Functional Skills, Employability /Nail and Beauty in a classroom based environment. You will be assessing, supporting and developing learners to gain qualifications that will enhance their further education and/or career prospects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver session’s including functional skills from entry 1 to level 2, PSD/Employability and a vocational qualification

Prepare and review session plans, schemes of work and teaching and learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to take into account the learners individual needs
Improve learners experience through development of teaching methods and strategies

Assist in the writing, design and development of curriculum through planning time and standardisation meetings

To consistently deliver a ‘good’ standard of teaching and learning
Offer IAG on further learning and progression opportunities.
Qualifications / Experience / Skill Requirement / Essential Elements

· Hold a recognised teaching qualification DTTLS,/Cert Ed/PTLLS
· Hold an assessors award( A1,’ D’units or TAQA)
· Hold a Functional skills qualification Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT
· Knowledge of Foundation Learning
· Customer Service NVQ Level 3
GCSE Maths and EnglishA-C

Package & benefits
In return you will receive a basic Salary: £26,000 – £27,600per year + 22 Holidays + Bank holidays + A performance related bonus. Please note that is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Flexibility is essential with this role.
