Background to engagement: Junior Business Analyst

My client, a leading energy provider is looking to engage a Business Analyst on a contract running until November of this year. The role is to be based from their Crawley location with regular travel to their London Victoria office and occasional travel to Newcastle hove and Exeter.

In your role as junior Business Analyst you will be guided and supported by more senior members of the team and Senior Business Analyst. In order to apply for this role Gas knowledge is highly desirable.

As Junior Business Analyst you will Support the project transition Lead in analysis, planning and delivery of business readiness activities required due to the projects cutover/transition period
You will support the Test Manager in internal Market Trials weekly session with the business for coordination of activities for L4 MT execution with industry partners minutes, follow-up with business on actions, with the intention of the Test Manager handing over leadership and management of these sessions to the MT (UAT) Defect and Business Support Lead
analysis of operational impacts that require proactive and reactive management, in order to deliver the project’s Storm (Hypercare) Plan with support from the project’s business Transition Lead.

Deliverables: Junior Business Analyst

Support delivery of Transition Plan
Agenda, Action Log and Minutes for weekly Market Trials session with business
Delivery of Storm (Hypercare) Plan

Skills & Qualifications: Junior Business Analyst

Proven investigative and analytical skills using a variety of standard techniques.
* Experience of aiding the development of business cases for medium and small scale business change projects, including financial and numerical modelling and appraisal skills.
* Experience of aiding business process analysis and design techniques, including the use of modelling and collaborative tools.
* Knowledge of standard methods and technique, with the ability to select the appropriate approach for a particular assignment.
* Demonstrate good communication, presentation and written skills, with relevant experience of dealing with senior business managers and third parties.
* Knowledge of formal project management techniques, such as Prince2
* ISEB Foundation in Business Analysis desirable, IIBA or equivalent qualification desirable.
