Purpose of the SharePoint Developer

In this role you will be part of our client’s ongoing digital transformation journey of which Microsoft SharePoint is a key strategic element.

As part of the internal Development team, you will be a keen solution seeker working on the governance, design and development of user centred SharePoint Development, while automating processes, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem and compiling relevant solution documentation for your colleagues. Collaborate closely with our PowerPlatform developers and PowerBI team to provide overall solution supporting business requirements.

Principal accountabilities

• Scope, design and develop business applications using SharePoint in line with our client’s governance
• Analyse business requirement through teamwork with peers and collaboration with stakeholders to define and scope application
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently to maintain and enhance existing SharePoint solutions as and when required and agreed with product owners
• Adhere to our client’s IT Internal development governance framework
• Adhere to our client’s values and brand guidelines
• Maintain agreed standards among developed applications
• Compile and maintain documentation for developed solutions
• Act as a technical escalation point for SharePoint issues and act as point of contact between Microsoft Support and our client’s
• Bring about improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying and proposing process improvements

Experience, knowledge and qualifications

Required experience and skillsets include:

• Working Knowledge of SP Online at a support, development level
• Working Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office 365 Administration
• Knowledge and experience of building solutions using Power Automate
• HTML, Java Script, JSON experience
• C#.Net and PowerShell knowledge
