UX / Web Designer – Birmingham

An accomplished and well rounded creative web / digital designer (UX/UI) is required to join an emerging and rapidly growing digital marketing agency in Birmingham on a permanent contract.

The role will be working closely with an account manager in a small and close-knit team. The primary focus will be designing and building aesthetically pleasing websites with a heavy focus on conversion optimisation, whilst also maintaining existing clients websites.

To qualify:

• Solid portfolio of work;
• Bespoke WordPress theme development;
• Strong creative flair with innovative ideas;
• Experience of creating highly engaging and effective websites;
• Enthusiasm and a great sense of humour;
• A knack for communicating concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues;
• High level of attention to detail;
• The ability to work within brand guidelines and keep consistency in your designs;
• Highly motivated with ambition to succeed;
• Solid HTML5, CSS etc. development skills;
• The ability to work within a team and adapt and overcome under pressure.

Desired although not required:

• Previous Agency experience;
• Experience with Magento;
• Experience with Shopify;
• Awareness of web related server administration (cPanel, WHM, PHPMyAdmin etc);
• A basic understanding of on-page SEO;
• Photoshop or alike lead design work;
• An appreciation for user experience (UX) design theory.
