Electrical / Electronics Engineer

Our client is a global market leader in engine cooling and HVAC systems for the specialist vehicle industry. They offer a range of engine cooling systems, heating & air conditioning systems and fluid reservoirs as well as a complete 3D design, prototype test, and production supply service.

Electrical/ Electronics Engineer

Based from Birmingham offices you will be their electrical expert at design stage, ensuring that company products and processes are quality standard compliant, liaising with colleagues and customers to ensure the prompt resolution of all electrical and electronic development issues. You may visit customers’ premises to discuss new products or review installation work on vehicle cooling systems, as well as air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems. You may also get involved with pressure test rigs at external vehicle testing centres or in their own regional service centre. UK travel is involved and there may be some overseas travel after training.

Key Skills Summary

Qualified electrical/ electronics engineer with some hands on experience
Knowledge of electrical architecture
Knowledge of vehicle electrics including CANBUS and engine management systems preferred
Refined communication skills
IT proficient
Capable of working on site (UK or abroad) UK based with possible overseas travel

Qualifications/ Experience

To be considered, applicants will need to be qualified to degree level in an electrical/electronic engineering discipline. You will have an understanding of vehicles including the operation/workings of radiators and their uses. You will also have a working knowledge of vehicle electrics/electronics and the ability to draw harnesses etc. You will have experience of SolidWorks or similar (ProEngineer or Catia) and some CANBUS experience.

You will also hold a full UK Driving license.
