Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
Procurement Manager (12 Month fixed term contract)
Description
Reporting to the Turnkey Operation Manager you will liaise between the Sourcing community and other key departments (such as Engineering, Platforms etc.) to manage modifications, engineering change, Group Standards, product/supplier identification and support the project with pricing/availability information.
You will be required to: –
Co-ordinate the project purchasing activities ( supplier selection, quotation analysis, contract negotiation)
Ensure negotiation with suppliers takes into account project requirements
Understand the contract with the customer and ensure that appropriate supplier contracts are negotiated
Manage relationship with sourcing community and constantly seek ways to improve performance levels
quality of products, delivery times and leadtimes, cost, reliability

Assist the Supplier Quality Manager to establish supplier approval ratings, supplier auditing, monitoring
supplier performance and recommend improvement actions.
To manage purchasing of local materials and services.
To ensure that the required quantities of materials are available in a timely manner to support the project.
To liaise with the Logistics Manager on quality, cost and delivery issues.
To oversee supplier selection, supplier tendering and placing of purchase orders, ensuring the delivery of
material and services.
Qualifications
Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
Educated to degree level, with CIPS qualification (or be studying for CIPS)
Excellent command of English with another European language preferred.
Proven experience in the field of commodity and supplier management
Excellent negotiation with demonstrable track record
Financial and Commercial awareness
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships
Salary C£42,000 – £48,000
