Are you a passionate, creative tutor that can offer knowledge as well as life skills and guidance to assist in the rehabilitation of offenders?

Do you want to make a difference and help inspire our learners?

If so, we can offer you a challenging and rewarding position with plenty of opportunities for progression and development.

Due to our continued growth and a need for experienced vocational trainers, we are now looking for a professional trainer technician to join our offender learning team.

Birmingham is a Victorian local prison housing adult male prisoners. It serves the Crown and Magistrates’ Courts of Birmingham and Shrewsbury and the Magistrates’ Courts of Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Warley, Dudley and Telford. In 2004 the prison underwent a period of considerable change as a result of a multi-million pound investment programme by the Prison Service. 450 additional prisoner places were added together with new workshops, educational facilities, a new healthcare centre and gymnasium, as well as extensions and improvements to existing facilities. G4S assumed responsibility for HMP Birmingham on 1 October 2011 and will manage the contract for the next 15 years.
