Paint Sprayer

A leading British manufacturer with international infrastructure are looking for experienced Paint Sprayers – Wet Spray or Powder Coating to join their site in Swindon
Due to continued growth and expansion, our client has invested in a bespoke wet spray booth and oven and conveyer powder paint plant system to meet customer’s demands.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to add value to a new process within the operational function. This new role is a crucial part of the operational process and attention to detail is essential.

This permanent position would suit an individual looking for day work Mon-Fri, working hours 8:00 – 16:15, with a 15:00 finish on a Friday.

As the Paint Sprayer you will be responsible for:

* Painting items to the correct standard (including all preparation and finishing)
* Adhere to procedures or systems in place for risk assessment, COSHH, personal protective equipment and other relevant safety regulations and procedures to realise a safe system of work
* Advising and maintain a safe working environment for the finishing activities
* Obtain the correct tools and equipment for the activity and checking that they are in a safe and usable condition and within current calibration date
* Ensure the paint and spraying equipment is correctly prepared for the finishing operations
* Ensuring the standard of housekeeping in the paint shop is maintained to a high level
* Active involvement in any improvement initiatives that are connected with the paint shop
* Ensuring supervision / management is aware of any quality problems or equipment failure
* Continual focus on operational cost reduction

The successful Paint Sprayer will have the following:

* Previous experience mixing and using wet paint spray/powder coating spray equipment
* Able to coat various materials, which include: fabricated metals, aluminium casting, PPS, PBT & Polycarbonate plastics.
* Experience in Lean processes & 5s
