This is an exciting time to join our client who consists of two Academy Trusts.

They are currently seeking a Head of Estates and Facilities to provide strategic leadership and management of the premises and sites.

In this pivotal role you will develop and maintain effective site services and liaison with senior managers in order to deliver an efficient and effective EFM service to support curriculum and learners. You will also be responsible for dealing with property, security, cleaning, building services functions and day to day provision. In addition you will manage the Academies buildings compliance and capital works programme.

Liaising closely with local academy senior leadership teams to discuss site service provision you will work in partnership with local academy senior leadership teams to support the curriculum delivery to learners from a premises and estates perspective. Further to this you will also develop and deliver operational standards including termly reports for the senior strategic team and trust board as and when required.

The successful candidate will have a Facilities Management degree or equivalent, you may also be a member of BIFM or of an alternative equivalent facilities management body. Proven experience of working within a facilities management of estates environment, including awareness of working at management level. High knowledge of Health and Safety issues in the workplace as well as experience of managing diverse staff and contractors is required. Technical knowledge of building fabric and electrical/mechanical systems, plant and controls would also be preferred along with experience of contract management and project management.
