An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client based in the Midlands. They are a successful Engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career and require a Material Optimisation Engineer to join their team.

As Material Optimisation Engineer who will be reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager. You will be responsible for developing cost saving plans in the plant through applying practical solutions to reduce and eliminate waste.

Some of your duties as Material Optimisation Engineer include:

*Identify material, manpower and utility saving across the plant.
*Manage savings identified through to completion.
*Defining opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste through the application of CI and lean tools.
*Develop cost saving.

We are looking for a Material Optimisation Engineer who ideally has the following skills:
*Background in engineering or business knowledge of management accounts or cost estimating.
*Strong knowledge in financials, statistics and computer literate in a technical engineering environment.
*Performance in delivering results using six sigma/lean tools.
*Proven experience in this role or a continuous improvement role.
*Ability to travel if required.
*Good team player
*Strong interpersonal skills at all levels.
*Strong analytical skills.
*Good computer skills.
