Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year
An ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor with strong educational background is being sought after by a specialist consultancy led building contractor due to a recent win on a major government education framework.
You will need to have a relevant Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying degree. You will be keen to progress academically and be helped to achieve MRICS or MCIOB status
At Aylin White we work with one of the UK’s leading design and modular build consultancy led contractors and are working in partnership with the company to help them grow and develop with the hire of a Graduate Quantity Surveyor.
At present they are looking to expand and develop their Commercial Division due to various project wins within Department of Education, Ministry of Defence and Healthcare sector with the hire of an ambitious Graduate Surveyor who is looking to progress within a forward-thinking company to join the team.
They are looking for an ambitious individual who has strong academic background preferably Quantity Surveying.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be involved with:
* Price the cost of different materials
* Assisting to Prepare documents, contracts, and budgets
* Assisting with the changes to the design and adjust projections accordingly
* Procure or agree the services of contractors and subcontractors who work on the construction project
* Measure and value the work done on site
* Pay subcontractors
* Liaise with the client and other construction professionals
* Select and/or source construction materials
* Assisting to Write reports
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Must hold a degree in Quantity surveying or a relevant qualification
The Modular Build sector is fast becoming integral in the construction industries development of Modern Methods of Construction and evolving sustainable solutions to the UK’s Built Environment.
Finding efficient and cost-effective ways of building is and will continue to be hugely important to the industry, with even more emphasis in the current climate.
