Maintenance Technician – Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

Salary: £45,600 – £54,000 per year

EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER WITH A MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL BIAS REQUIRED TO WORK ON LARGE 3 PHASE PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT WITH LARGE CONVEYOR SYSTEMS

TITLE: Maintenance Technician – Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

LOCATION: Poplar / Barking area

SALARY: £45,600 – £54,000plus benefits (4 on 4 off days)

YOUR PREVIOUS BACKGROUNDS (not exhaustive): furnace, smelting, power station, energy, heavy industry, waste management, quarry, steel, aggregates, mining, recycling, plant hire, manufacturing, processing, production, heavy capital plant machinery, automotive, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil, gas, waste management. 

Previous roles may have been – Compactor, Baler, Crusher, Screener or Shredder Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Technician, Plant Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Plant Engineer, Electrical Engineer

ROLE: Maintenance Technician – Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

As a Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Technician you will undertake reactive and preventative maintenance to a range of heavy static plant machinery and conveyor systems

You will communicate with the maintenance manager your team and the operational staff. 

You will log you work

You will work within site safety procedures and company policies.

EXPERIENCE: Maintenance Technician – Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

You will have works in a heavy process of manufacturing environment working with large static plant production equipment, this is not suitable for something that has done buildings or facilities maintenance. 

You will have undertaken a time served electrical, mechanical or marine engineering apprenticeship and be qualified with a C & G or NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or degree

Knowledge of PC based engineering PPM systems useful.

PLC / DCS / SCADA / SAP experience also very advantageous.

Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH a bonus.
