Independent Reviewing Officer

Our client currently has a locum job vacancy for a social worker to work as a child protection chair in Croydon. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is up to £37.2per hour, depending on experience (limited company worker).

Duties include:
– Acting as a chair for child protection conferences
– Ensuring the development of high quality practice for child protection and safeguarding that meets nation and locally set performance targets.
– Monitoring the quality of practice for child protection by way of scrutinising child protection plans, and to challenge practice which does not meet required local and national standards.
– Being accountable for decision making in looked after reviews and other multi agency for a
– Convening and recording review outcomes in the electronic system within timescales
– Working constructively with senior managers, offering a critical perspective and appropriate challenge

Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, all applicants must have a degree (or similar) within social work and be registered with the HCPC. You must also have at least 3 years recent post qualifying experience working within a similar role.
