Toolhanger / Factory Operative

Our client is currently recruiting for several Toolhangers/ Factory Operatives to work on a permanent basis at the factory on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate.

The main purpose of the roles would be ensuring the company’s tool handling requirements are carried out efficiently and to operate plastic injection Moulding.

You will also be required to:

• Ensures all relevant documentation is completed for tool change requests, following Company procedures.

• Ensures Last Offs are on the tool and correct documentation is put with the tool. Books in Last Off’s in to Quality Control Department.

• Prepares the tool for removal from machine ie. Cleans tool faces, sprays with mould protection.

• Ensures all tools are booked in and out of Toolstores correctly, following Company procedures.

• Ensures correct lifting gear is used including eye bolts and shackles.

• Locates the tool in the press using correct register ring and clamping. Ensures correct ejector bar and coupling are used.

• Ensures water heaters and/or oil heaters are correctly plumbed.

• Ensures press is cleaned up and puts away all surplus equipment at the end of the tool change.

• Operates plastic injection moulding machines.

• Carries out assembly/component processing work, including trimming, and light packing duties.

• Undertakes basic quality control checks, in line with Company procedures.

• Ensures the safe operation of machinery and that safe working practices in the work area are carried out.

• Relief cover in any area of factory, as and when requested by Production Manager.

• Any other reasonable duty, as requested by Shift Supervisor and/or Production Manager.

Rate of pay is also negotiable and could be increased depending on the calibre of the candidates experience.
