Technical Transfer Lead

We are currently looking for a Technical Transfer Lead to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Wiltshire area. As the Technical Transfer Lead you will be responsible for leading projects relating to the transfer of products and technologies into the organisation’s Wiltshire facility. This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a company who support global customers with an extensive pipeline of projects to support.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Technical Transfer Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as following:

1. You will lead Technology Transfer projects into the Wiltshire facility from the organisation’s other global sites, managing a team of Technology Transfer Project Managers. You will be responsible for all stages of the process including introduction to supply chain and manufacturing operations.

2. Your responsibilities will also include commercial aspects involving business development and maintaining existing client relationships. Throughout the process you will be responsible for ensuring communication with the client and supporting identification and resolution of technical issues.

3. Lead initiatives to optimise the Technology Transfer process including minimisation of production costs and seeking new purchasing options.

4. Additional duties will include conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to GMP and other company policies and procedures.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technical Transfer Lead we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. You will be at least degree qualified in a Scientific or Engineering discipline (e.g Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmaceutical Engineering etc.) with proven experience working in a project management role in a GMP compliant Pharmaceutical business.

2. It is essential that you have previous experience of tech transfer / New Product Introduction (NPI) within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry ideally with experience leading both projects and personnel.

3. Those with experience as a project manager in a customer / CMO environment will take priority on application, however this is not essential
