Electro Mechanical Buyer (Urgent Requirement)

Inside Out Purchasing and Supply has been engaged by our Cambridgeshire based client to recruit on an interim basis for a Electro Mechanical Buyer. The hourly rate on offer for this role is between £20.4and £21.00 dependant on experience.

Key responsibilities will include the purchase and expediting of both proprietary and manufactured components, sourcing and identifying potential suppliers and/or materials, and negotiating price structures, discounts, and delivery timeframes with suppliers on an ongoing basis.

Ideally qualified to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline, with CIPS membership and/or SQA experience, the successful candidate will have previous purchasing experience in a similar environment, broad technical (electro-mechanical) knowledge, strong negotiating skills and experience of setting up supplier contracts. Excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team. Experience of working with an MRP system would be advantageous.
