KS2 Teaching Assistant- Nottingham and Derby
Your new company
With Schools re-opening on March 8th, Hays Education are working with schools in Nottingham and Derby who are looking for a hardworking and passionate Teaching Assistant within the primary education sector.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant within these schools you will be working alongside the class Teacher and potentially other Teaching Assistants to support the children and Teacher in all areas of work including Maths and English. You will be working with children 1:1, in small groups as well as full class. Your role is to help with the children’s learning and development whilst supporting those struggling and being able to advise and coach through life challenges. You will follow School and Government COVID-19 guidelines in order to ensure yourselves and others around you stay safe.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed within this role you must have a passion for supporting children’s physical and mental wellbeing. You must be aware of behaviour management strategies that involve de-escalation and remain calm in difficult situations.
