Our client is a leading medical publication and is currently seeking a Classified Sales Executive to work from their office in Harrow.

You will be involved in contributing towards the achievement of sales targets for the organisation.

The role is primarily internal but you will visit customers on a regular basis.
Specific responsibilities include –

1. Selling advertising and sponsorship opportunities across the company’s products (journals, publications and events), via face to face presentations and the telephone, to companies targeting nurses as part of their marketing strategy, and their advertising and PR agencies.

2. To build relationships with buyers within companies and maximise revenue potential by identifying with their needs and matching them to the commercial opportunities within the company.

3. To ensure that the value basis and ethos of the company is reflected in all revenue generation initiatives and that a professional approach is maintained in client relationships.

4. To ensure that a strong cost awareness focus is maintained in all commercial activities.

5. To work as part of the sales team and contribute new revenue generating ideas and report on market information.

6. To ensure that the company and its products and services maintain a high market profile by providing clients with regular contact via meetings, letters, telephone and exhibition attendance.

7. To ensure that the client database (CRM) is maintained and ensure that all client activity is logged and all new business is recorded to enable accurate follow up, production and invoicing.

8. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by the Sales Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in media sales having ideally worked for a publisher/advertising company.

The role will be an even split of new business and existing accounts.
