What will you be doing?

• To carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors and hydraulic equipment
• To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate
• To propose and develop modifications to plant /apparatus as appropriate
• To liaise with operations staff and other maintenance staff as appropriate

What are we looking for?

• Time served in a recognised apprenticeship and have detailed knowledge of maintenance techniques
• Experience gained in heavy industry, such as power stations, steel works, and gas/ water industry.
• Able to work a rota that includes some weekend working to give overall maintenance cover 365 days per year and to be able to be contacted and attend site outside of normal working hours if required
• Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
