Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Hybrid working available on a 2/3 day split basis.

Dedicate Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a Multi-Academy Trust and its academies throughout Derbyshire and east Staffordshire. The Trust is a pioneer in improving the lives & opportunities of children and young people with SEND and challenging behaviours.

It is now seeking an ambitious and driven finance professional to support the schools in providing efficient financial management information including monthly management accounts, budget management & control and financial planning. This role requires adaptability as you will advise the Finance Director, School Leaders and the Trust Board on proposed capital projects and to work closely with Head Teachers in reviewing costs of future staffing requirements and its sustainability. This is a broad and diverse role with the emphasis placed on providing ‘good customer service’ to these schools as an extension of the finance team.

The ideal candidate will hold a full accounting qualification or is studying towards it. You will have experience of a multi-site function and be a technically astute accountant, possessing an excellent understanding of financial and management accounting, with a proven record of communicating financial information to a range of stakeholders.

You will be a self-starter with a confident personality who thrives in a customer facing role, with the ability to convey complex financial information in simple terms to non-finance staff. Knowledge and/or experience of the school/academy sector, special school budgeting and alternative provision would be beneficial.
