Recruitment Consultant (30% Commission)

Based in the heart of Manchester, we are looking to recruit and experienced, self motivated and professional Perms Consultant to join our small boutique agency. We started out covering generalist commercial recruitment but based on client need and our ability to do a good job regardless of the discipline, we have expanded into; Engineering, Technical, Senior Appointments and Sales.

This is not a ‘typical’ recruitment role as you will not be expected to just sit and make volume calls every day. Although you will need to pick up the phone, the main expectation is to generate business interest via calling from the CRM system, going on local ‘walkabouts’, lead generation from Press/Internet and thinking about marketing ideas in order to promote your desk and be comfortable using social media.

A large part of the role will also involve sourcing quality candidates for the various positions we are recruiting for, screening them to ensure job matches are right for both parties and arranging face to face interviews in order to ascertain the ‘soft skills’ of an individual. Once the candidate has been interviewed and you feel they have the rounded skills your client requires, you would then be responsible for the client contact in order to advise them of your candidate and why you feel they are right for the role. If the candidate isn’t right for the role, you will be required to aim to find them alternative job options so that your time, and theirs, is not wasted.

There is a lot of autonomy within the role for the right person (and personality fit) so experience with recruitment is essential as is a professional, friendly approach with clients and candidates, an exceptional organisational ability and the desire to make your own money for the extra effort you put in. Recruitment consultants know that recruitment isn’t a 9-5 job but we still wants to make sure that the pressures of the day to day job are balanced with a friendly and enjoyable work environment that you can ‘consult’ in and not just hit inane targets for.

There are no tricks to our structure; it is completely transparent and exceptionally good as well as being totally uncapped.

This is a revenue targeted role and you will need to show your previous success within recruitment over the last 12 months.

• starting salary of £26,000per year(reviewable after probation)
