Senior Java Developer, London, £70k+
I am recruiting for a software company who seeks a motivated and experienced Senior Java Developer (server-side) to join a talented and focused agile team.
The role involves independent and team-based work on mobile technology web applications for data processing, analytics and reporting. This product takes the desktop application to the next level, and will also exploit Big Data technologies and services, and solve todays data challenges in innovative and exciting ways.
The key technologies comprises:
Core Java on the server and HTML5/CSS3 with Google Closure on the client, with bespoke client/server application architectures/frameworks and data processing/analytics.

The Key skills and Experience needed are:
Commercial Java development
Architecting and developing scalable 2+ tier and/or distributed applications
Java core, networking, collections, algorithms, multithreading/concurrency/parallelism
Object Oriented Programming, design patterns, best practices
Full development cycle inc. support, QA & testing
Useful skills needed are:
SQL/JDBC/DBA, data analysis/statistics, TDD, Web development (HTML5, CSS3, JSON)
JavaScript, Google Closure library/compiler), Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Map/Reduce, HBase, Hive, NoSQL,
MongoDB, Impala), distributed systems, cloud computing, internet/network protocols, data visualisation/charting, usability/UX, Swing, Mercurial/Git
