Salary: £480 per day
Embedded Software Contractors | 100% Remote | Outside IR35 – day rate £480pd
The role
You will be working on exciting technical projects for some of the biggest global names in the media and broadcast industry. The specific requirements of these projects mean that sometimes our clients need the support of independent third parties and associates with specialist technical and sector knowledge.
You will need to provide hands-on embedded software engineering experience, strong customer-facing skills, a wealth of technical knowledge and the ability to solve complex problems with minimal support.
Skill Requirements:
* Strong technical experience with C, C++ or Java in an embedded Linux or Android environment.
* Experience in Set-Top Boxes and related technologies (such as RDK), would be a big advantage
* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using the latest tools
* Experienced developing and debugging multithreaded and/or multi-process code
* First-class communication and customer management skills
Desirable Tech Skills:
Object Orientated programming in C++ or Java / UML diagramming / C++11 / RDK / STL or frameworks such as Qt / Embedded or mobile Java / JNI / Linux kernel / drivers / GCC / GDB / TDD and Unit Testing frameworks such as Google Test / Mockito / JUnit and similar / Software development for consumer electronics or TV / Audio, Video & TV standards / Networking protocols and standards including TCP/IP / Wi-Fi / UPnP / DLNA / HLS or MPEG-DASH / Agile, Scrum methodologies
