Farm wildlife is in trouble – can you help us make a difference?
If you are passionate and knowledgeable about farm wildlife conservation and looking for a way to use your farmland bird identification, data management and people skills, then we’d love to hear from you.
As Conservation Monitoring Officer, your role will be to deliver a regional programme of farmland bird monitoring in areas where we focus our farm conservation advice. By training and managing a team of volunteers to survey farmland bird populations, and mapping and analysing the results using GIS, you will monitor the effectiveness of targeted wildlife-friendly land management for key farmland bird species.
You will also support the work of our regional farm conservation advice team, building positive contacts and relationships with local farmers and their communities and helping farmers deliver conservation for wildlife on their land.
You will be based at RSPB, Eastern England Regional Office, Stalham House, 65 Thorpe Road, Norwich NR1 1UD. Occasional travel required to manage events and some evening and weekend working.
