Salary: £24 – £26.4 per hour

A full time, perm Deputy IT Manager, (reporting to the IT Manager), needed for a company in London, with some remote work, plus some travel is also req’d for performance of the role.

Key Relationships:

  • Working with 3rd Party App Vendors to ensure hosted apps are fully optimised & secureWorking closely with App Owners to ensure secure, stable apps & to keep optimised & up to date by providing a roadmap for each app
  • Work with partner co ICT Team ensuring managed app & projects are optimised & up to date & to provide roadmap for apps
  • Supporting key project changes either as standalone pieces of work or working with the partner co Tech Architects & tech teams to ensure smooth delivery on time, on budget & to address where any issues arise
  • Sign off on project changes up to 10k

Purpose

  • Working closely with the IT Mgr & App Owners
  • Responsible for ensuring Apps are maintained & a future pathway is planned by way of an IT apps roadmap
  • Responsible for PM’ing of all apps either hosted by their partner co or internal apps
  • Deputising for the IT Mgr when they’re unavailable allowing continuity of service

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

  • Maintain high performing apps & project change support
  • Day to day oversight of apps, both those hosted internally or supported, ensuring high levels of performance in these processes & accurate reporting, escalating to the IT Mgr as / when required
  • Researching / testing new apps as requested by the business
  • Overseeing the day-to-day ops of the apps hosted by the business
  • PM’ing data related workstreams – working with colleagues to setup data streams from critical data sources to provide KPIs, by way of reports / dashboards to all Depts
  • Ensure all apps are patched & upgraded from both a functionality & security perspective
  • Identify, escalate & manage application risks & issues to resolution
  • Ensure timely & consistent communication during any major downtime
  • Working with App owners to look at roadmap of improvements, speaking to vendors & working to implement changes, test & sign off new functionality
  • Creates processes & protocols for software – inc user guides, reviewing annually
  • Create reports / dashboards via use off excel / PowerBI
  • Manage outside vendors & contractors to ensure performance expectations & customer satisfaction
