We are urgently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to assist with whole of class and intervention work at an established primary school in Sheffield, via the Governments catch-up funding scheme. Candidates ideally need a Level 3 TA qualification, an excellent understanding of the primary curriculum and extensive practical classroom experience.

The role is scheduled to start in January (or sooner if possible) and will involve whole of class work during the morning session, and targeted interventions in the afternoon sessions – both 121 and working with small groups. Confident reading, writing and numeracy skills are essential together with a natural ability to explain the difficult to make it easier for young learners to absorb and understand.

Do you:

* Have previous practical classroom experience within the last 18 months

* Have a good understanding of the current national curriculum

* Have a GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and your own transport
