Finance Manager

Salary: £54,000 per year

Recruit Mint are seeking a Finance Manager on behalf of our client near Glasgow.

The role will manage a team and be responsible for the Finance department within the business.

Main Duties:

Production of monthly management accounts using Sage system
Submission of company accounts to group head office (HFM) as per strict corporate headlines, ensuring integrity and completeness of the data
Manage and develop a team of three people based in East Kilbride
Reconciliation of management accounts to general ledger, managing accruals and prepayments
Monitor the costing systems, activities and transactions in the Company ERP system (Click) to ensure accurate operation
Responsible for the monthly payroll for approx. 50-60 employees using Sage
Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, bad debt provisions
Management of cost accounting, stock control and stock provisions
Ensure full compliance with Group accounting Manual and other company policies and procedures
Ensure effective controls are in place, all balance sheet reconciliations are completed
Provide business financial support and advice to the operational managers
Produce VAT returns along with the required input for CIS and Corporation tax
To Prepare information for the budgeting process (AOP, Annual Operating Plan) and the forecast updates as and when required, developing new models and reporting as required
To undertake report writing and analysis of business information when required
To be involved in the Year End Closing, including dealing with Auditors queries and requests for information and subsequent preparation of the annual financial statements
Ad-hoc financial duties as required
Candidate Profile:

Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience
in construction or engineering or maintenance companies
High level of Computer literacy and advanced working knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of SAGE, CLICK and HYPERION system or other integrated ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics
High level of commitment, self-motivation and personal integrity
Excellent confident communication skills and good interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
The ability to be a team-player and to influence others
A good attention to detail together with the ability to question the status quo

Salary: Up to £54,000
