Accounts Assistant / Payroller

Are you studying or looking to study AAT? Do you have payroll and general accounting experience? Then this role could be ideal for you. Based near Watford, the company has seen strong growth over the last few years and is now in a position to begin recruiting a finance team. This role will report into the Head of Finance who will in turn help to guide and mentor you and give guidance on work. The role will be responsible for:

Payroll of around 300 temporary/permanent staff – dealing with all starters and leavers
Invoice processing – adding all new suppliers and customers to the accounting system and ensuring payment/invoices are paid/raised
Reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure all balanced for month end
Support the Finance Manager in month end duties
MI reporting for both the head of finance and management team
General office/administrative duties
VAT returns/Accruals/Prepayments/Fixed Asset Register etc.

You will have previous payroll experience, be looking or studying your AAT and have great communication skills You will be energetic, have good IT skills, particularly excel and be keen on leading and developing a career in accountancy.
