Salary: £72,000 – £78,000 per year

I am currently working with a very dynamic and ambitious subsidiary of a global consultancy who are looking to onboard an Integration Architect.

Perhaps the most ambitious of its kind in the world, the programme will allow energy suppliers to roll out millions of smart electricity and gas meters to homes and small non-domestic properties.

The System Integration Specialist will be responsible for leading the architecture decisions for Integration architecture, platforms, and patterns that meets the Network Evolution needs and delivers the mission of delivering value for money to its customers, underpinned by a culture of transparency.

The role holder will work with the strategic framework to enable the CTO to clearly articulate its strategy and translate that into practical steps that need to be taken to deliver it. Provide traceability for our change portfolio to ensure what we are delivering is working towards a common goal.

This role is open for applicants based in London or Manchester, the salary range is £72,000 – £78,000per annum plus benefits.

Key Accountabilities

Working directly for the CTO Network Evolution Design Function, as System Integration Specialist you will provide API and service-component Integration Specialism through

Rationalize integration requirements to build simple, efficient, scalable and supportable future-proofed solution designs for DSP.
Develop integration services platform configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including changes and potential system implications.
Maintain high-level familiarity with emerging application capabilities in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream DSP integration/functionality for design options.
Establish standards, practices, and procedures for integrating, testing, evaluating, and transitioning systems and enterprise capabilities and coordination
Supports workstream in developing and integrating performance budgets and evaluating Key Performance Parameters (KPPs)/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs)
Completing initial Architecture Impact Assessments and high-level design options to be presented to the design authority for approval; ensuring alignment with overall Enterprise Architecture and roadmaps. Working strategically and collaboratively with other Architects to ensure a one view and standardising our processes, people, technology and data;
Discovering, challenging, recommending and articulating target operating model change, asking strategic questions and providing input into responses to achieve specific outcomes;Technologies

Integration – APIs, micro-services and ETL patterns
Execution Paradigm – low latency/Streaming, batch and micro batch processing
Data platforms – Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka etc.) and Data Warehouse (Teradata, Redshift, BigQuery etc.)
Languages and scripting: Python, Java etc
Cloud Services – AWS, GCP, Azure and Cloud Native
DevOps – Ansible, Jenkins, ELK
Containerisation – Docker, Kubernetes etc
Orchestration – Airflow, Step Functions, Ctrl M etc.
