Our Client is the UK’s largest manufacturer of home fragrance. They create their own ranges that are sold in high quality stores and also produce home fragrance for some of the world’s leading luxury brands, exporting to over 40 countries around the world. Due to their continued growth our Client is now seeking a Graphic Designer. The position is permanent.
Based in our Clients Cumbria Offices and reporting to the Creative and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the design of products, packaging, POS, catalogues and other printed material which is commercially viable and meets customers’ requirements.
You will consistently generate commercial innovative ideas in order to create concept boards showing trend and product ideas.
You will produce product mock-ups and planograms as requested.
You will produce final artwork for print.
You will work closely with other members of the team, working consistently and accurately, endorsing brand guidelines.
You must keep up to date with design technology, trends, fashions and use this in design work.
You will work closely with external print companies to understand the impact that design has in terms of production.
You will accompany the sales team to meetings with retailers and present trends and concepts if required.
You will sign off print with QA/Suppliers as requested.
You will design POS and merchandising material when required from concept to completion across a diverse range of design for in-store and tradeshows.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Graphic Designer ideally with experience of working with the retail sector.
Your practical experience should be supported by a Degree in 3D design or other graphic design related field.
You will be creative and passionate about design with an eye for detail.
You will be able to work accurately and consistently following the Company’s product and brand guidelines.
You must be computer literate with the ability to use Illustrator, Photoshop & In-design.
You must have in-depth experience in art-working and 3D mock up making.
You must be able to use basic Excel and Word.
You must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
You will be a strong team player, working closely with other designers within the team.
You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
In return for the above our client is offering a Salary: £26,000 plus benefits package which includes bonus.
