With more and more people now buying their favourite things online and with the trend set to continue – we can offer you a great opportunity with a difference. You could soon enjoy driving for a living, being your own boss out on the open road and delivering parcels on behalf of Yodel.

You’ll prepare for your day’s work at your local Yodel service centre, where you’ll scan and load parcels into your van before heading off to deliver and collect parcels in a defined geographical area (known as a tour). You’ll deliver parcels straight to the doors and businesses of customers, meeting and greeting them and getting their parcels to them on time and in great condition.

We can:

• Help you become a sole trader or get a business up and running, so you can become a self-employed, VAT registered owner driver.
• Provide you with great training.
• Work with you on a flexible open ended contract with an initial period lasting either 12 or 24 months.
• Offer you good earning potential. You’ll get paid (fortnightly) for successfully delivering and collecting parcels on time and in great condition. The more you deliver, the more you’ll be able to earn.
• Support your revenue during your first weeks.
• Offer you a tour plus up to a further 4, either now or in the future (subject to availability).

You will:

• Work flexibly six days a week on a full-time basis.
• Be friendly, tenacious, hardworking and focused on delivering a great customer experience.
• Have good communication skills.
• Love driving.
• Plan work on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Be a safe driver with a full UK/EU driving licence.
• Meet service agreements.
• Need to own, have access to, or be prepared to fund a suitably sized van. We may be able to help you source a van through a preferred supplier.
• Need to be able to provide appropriate insurances for the van and the operation of your business – we may be able to help you with this through a partner supplier (OIS).

It only takes a limited investment to get operational and unlike many start-ups you won’t need to pay us a deposit. By delivering a great customer experience, we’ll both build sustainably profitable businesses.
