Job Role
The Senior IT Engineer will be responsible for supporting the daily tasking and direction of a Team of 8 IT support technicians. The candidate shall be self-motivated and capable of deputising for the Technical Lead and directing a professional team against challenging Customer and Project requirements, accounting for expended man-hours and progress against task reporting. Able to identify training requirements and deliver a degree of technical mentoring and coaching in the development of the Technical Operations Team.
You will be expected to provide support to internal and external calls and on occasions travel to client sites based in; Hemel Hempstead, Wales, Birmingham and London.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience providing senior level support and a background of supporting large and demanding clients. You will have experience of supervising junior support technicians and providing 2nd/3rd line support. Experience of the following technologies is essential; VMWare/Hyper-V, Windows Server 2012, NetApp/EMC/Dell EqualLogic storage, Citrix, AD, Exchange, Windows 7/8.1, DR & Backups, Firewalls/VPN, LAN/WAN/WLAN and Cisco Networks.
