Flood Risk & Asset Mapping Officer

Carrington West are recruiting a Flood Risk & Asset Mapping Officer to join their client based in West Yorkshire.

The Flood Risk & Asset Mapping Officer will be a part of clients Flood recovery programme that aims to reduce the risk and impact of future flooding in the Area.

The Flood Risk & Asset Mapping Officer will

1.Undertake and assist all users in the analysis and understanding of flood risk and its impacts.
2.Undertake GIS studies using MapInfo and other relevant software as requested.
3.Assist in the drafting and publishing of the associated report required under section 19 of the FWMA.
4.Undertake the development of the asset register as required under the Flood and Water Management Act.
5.Assist in the identification of critical structures and features considered to be a local flood risk.
6.Identify, develop and manage prioritised and cost effective programmes of maintenance.
7.Undertake condition surveys of existing assets.
8.Assist in the development and management of land drainage and flood risk incident databases.
9.Assist in developing prioritised and cost effective programmes of maintenance and improvement work for critical flood risk infrastructure.
10.Assist in identifying relevant engineering schemes.
11.Liaise and manage external contractors.

The Flood Risk & Asset Mapping Officer will be an initial 3 month contract vacancy.
