Production Assistant

So what does the work involve?

You would be working in a working in a warm environment, with free tea and coffee vending machines in a very busy, high paced manufacturing / warehouse environment.

There are many different roles that you will be required to carry out which can include ( but are not exclusive to the following)

A substantial amount of manual handling

You will be carrying timber or wooden frames,

unloading wagons,

Palletising,

Supporting Skilled operators,

You may be collecting materials from a stores room to give to assemblers
Packing bespoke furniture ready for dispatch.

What is the working environment like?

It is a very busy, fast paced environment. Its very clean and spacious and music is played throughout the day. The canteen provides FREE tea and coffee.

What will be expected of me?

Once your familiar with the role, you will need to use your own initiative, as managers will expect you to anticipate what work you need to do next once one task has been completed and you need to be flexible with adapting to new roles and skills.

For the right candidates who show a positive work ethic and prove themselves, permanent contracts maybe offered.

What are the hours?

The normal total hours worked per week are 39 hours.

of work are

7:30 – 4:30 Monday to Thursday with Fridays, 7:30 until 12:30
or
6am – 3pm Monday to Thursday with Fridays, 6am until 11am

There is a night shift there too which is 6PM – 6AM at £26,000 per year.

There is also a new night shift that is 7:30pm until 5:45am
