Overview
The Internal Audit Manager will join the Link Group Internal Audit Team who have a presence in Australia, the UK, Ireland, and Mumbai as part of a global operating model. You will support the Corporate Markets business in delivering assurance and providing oversight. Key stakeholders include local management, senior management at local and Group level, Executives and members of the Board and Risk Committee.
The Internal Audit Manager will deliver audits under the supervision of the Senior Internal Audit Manager following the Link Internal Audit methodology.
The role is based on a hybrid basis from our Gresham Street office in London, so you must be within a commutable distance for the one or two days a week you’ll be in the office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Internal Audit Team by contributing to the development of an annual IA plan that covers the whole Link Group
- Initiating new audits by engaging with the management team, drafting audit Terms of Reference, and seeking executive/management approval to commence the review
- Providing constructive recommendations focused on internal control as well as value add recommendations to help the business achieve its objectives
- Preparing clear, concise, and timely audit reports in conjunction with other team members in addition to the preparation of audit reporting for Risk Committees, the Executive team and the Audit Committee
- Assisting in the coordination and execution of the Internal Audit follow-up of any overdue actions whilst maintaining effective relationships with the management team, including the agreement of audit Terms of
- Reference, clearance of audit reports and offering on-going support and guidance where appropriate
- Following the IA methodology and contributing as and when required to the maintenance and improvement of the
- IA framework and methodology
What we’re looking for:
- An ability to lead end to end audit processes, including planning, execution, follow-up and reporting with an understanding of internal controls and a desire to deliver quality audit outcomes
- Demonstrable experience in Internal Audit or a related discipline within a professional service business or the financial services industry
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the experience and ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to work independently as well as with the team, building effective relationships using strong collaboration and influencing skills
- The ability to review and develop a strong understanding of complex processes as well as develop recommendations to improve the controls over such processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good report writing and analysis skills
- Resilience, personal integrity and great customer service skills with the ability to balance personal delivery with operational team objectives and activities
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, results focussed and innovative with the drive and desire to continuously improve the way business is done through analysis, creativity, problem solving and change initiatives
